How And Why I Decided To Write A Memoir And The Intro For The Book

I am not a writer, and I published a book.  This doesn’t make any sense right?

I still can’t believe I published a memoir but I blame the fog and chaos of the year 2020.

Many people over the past few years have asked me how I did it?

Today, on the Confident Sober Women podcast, I decided to share more about what possessed me to share the deepest and most personal stories of my life, with the world.

Getting and staying sober at the time was the hardest thing I had done in my life and created the first major before and after moment of my life.

When I looked around there were so many powerful women, many of which have been guests on the show, writing their stories.

But the focus was always on the getting sober part.

Of course, my story shares some of this, but the purpose of Recovering in Recovery: The Life-Saving Joy of Sobriety was to tell my story about living and THRIVING in long-term sobriety.

Sobriety is only the beginning.

The work of emotional sobriety is what creates the major transformation to build a life you don’t want to escape from.

The story is about how I changed my life, the actuality of recovering in recovery.

How I uncovered the truth about the lies I believed and the four pillars I created to show other women how they can build confidence and thrive.

Today, I share the audio version of the intro for the book and later I will share chapter 1.

It is my greatest passion and pleasure to serve other women in the recovery community…

…and to be a guiding light for those waking up after the initial phases of early recovery and want to pursue all the desires of their heart.

So grab a big glass of water or your favorite mocktail and enjoy today’s episode of Confident Sober Women wherever you listen to your podcasts.

Be sure to subscribe to the show and leave a review so other women can find us, it really helps me out a lot.
