Sobriety is ONLY the beginning. We do so much work to become alcohol free which is a miracle, but the emotional sobriety comes later.

After I got sober in 2002 it became apparent that the biggest challenge I faced in those first few years was my negative thinking patterns. I was stuck in a cycle that had me continuously beating myself up every day. I was sober and of course, I felt a lot better and my life was getting better, because that’s what happens when you stop using substances. But the thought patterns had to be challenged.

In this episode I share with you just how I did that and the 5 ways I use to show other women how to do the same.  I also mention the 5-day negative thinking challenge that is in the Guides section of the Confident Sober Women Facebook group. You can access it for free if you are a group member. Go ahead and join now!

If you haven’t read my memoir, Recovering in Recovery: The Life-Changing Joy of Sobriety you can hear more about my story of living well beyond recovery and the ways I show others to do the same. Check it out here.
