So it’s a timely discussion for sure as we are deep into the holiday season that means many things to many people.  So I want you to just open your ears and your heart and go with me while we break down the three letter G word.

Let me ask you, Do you hate religion? Have you struggled with recovery because of the G word?

You aren’t alone.  Tons of recovering women have struggled with concepts around the spiritual program since the creation of AA in 1935.

I would even take a chance and say as many women have gotten sober as those who have gotten drunk, because of a higher power. Am I right?

And if you don't get anything else from this episode I want you to walk away with the fact that religion is not the same thing as spirituality.

We go into much greater detail about harnessing the energy from  source outside yourself in the Sober Freedom Inner Circle membership.  I share with you different spiritual philosophies and some ideas about how to come to your own understanding.  If you would like to learn more about the Sober Freedom Inner Circle membership click here!

Oh, and by the way, if you didn’t know, my program Sober Freedom Transformation is now open! It is for women who have been sober for a year to many and are ready to discover who they want to be in long term sobreity, develop confidence and improve their relationships.

If you aren't part of the Confident Sober Women Facebook group, it's a great place to be. There are over a thousand other sober women there building lives they don't want to escape from. Come on over and join us.

And if you haven't read my memoir, grab a copy today and maybe a second one for a friend. There is so much hope in recovery, and I shared my story so raw and vulnerably so that others would know they aren't alone and that there is a way to live well, manage relationships, parent your kids, and have a healthy body, all while staying sober.
