Confident Sober Women

New Thinking Patterns and Identity in Long Term Sobriety w/Jo Weatherford

Shelby Episode 141

Jo Weatherford is a woman in long-term recovery and a friend of the Confident Sober Women podcast. She was on the podcast back on March 22, 2022 episode 70 Overcoming Victim Consciousness where she shared a lot of her story and focused on the difference between knowledge and action. Check it out.

We talked a lot about what it’s like after the first year of sobriety, the changing in thinking patterns and relationships and the emergence of a new identity.

Today Jo is an independent, single and sober woman who is building a new business with her partner who is also in recovery.  It’s called Recovery Remix an online support and education platform that gets to the heart of addiction and reminds us “it’s not about the addiction, it’s about who you become when you break free.”

You can find her on their website www.recoveryremix.com.

And if you haven't read my memoir, grab a copy today and maybe a second one for a friend. There is so much hope in recovery, and I shared my story so raw and vulnerable so that others would know they aren't alone and that there is a way to live well, manage relationships, parent your kids, and have a healthy body, all while staying sober.
